Ivona from 1000 Mile Travel
My first big thanks goes out to Ivona Siniarska from 1000 Mile Travel. She was on the ground floor of helping me shape the early plans into something vaguely sensible. Since the beginning, she has been my sanity check and researcher who has helped me answer questions around visas, border crossings, insurance, routes, places to visit and many, many more left-of-centre queries.
Not only has Ivona helped with the logistics and coordination of the trip, she’s been amazing enough to introduce me to a ton of people scattered throughout my route through Central and South America as well as introduced me to friends with the experience to solve some of my more complex planning problems.
Beyond that, it’s nice to know that I’ll have a ‘home base’ contact to help out while I’m on the road. When I get in trouble (which I no doubt will), I take great comfort knowing that she’ll be there to troubleshoot my way through it.
She has truly gone above to help me out here. No doubt she’ll be quite the authority on South American overland travel by the time I’m done.
Aside from this adventure, Ivona has been a great help in my corporate and leisure travel. She’s recently taken the bold leap to go out on her own and build up her own business.
